He stopped in the doorframe, and though he had his ‘fuck you’ voice at hand, he was grinning broadly. It had taken me over a month to figure Malcolm out, but once I had, manipulating him was easy. He probably knew it, too, but he never changed his style. “Well if you can’t do it, I’ll get Jason to.” I shrugged, feigning ignorance as I turned and limped to the stairs. Pausing at their base, I listened for the sound of him following, but was met with silence. He was either testing me, or pAwkward
